Annie caught our attention and our hearts at a very early age. Her Mom, Judy, knew she was the pick of the litter right from the start. From the time she was allowed to run free she exhibited an instinct to range out fueled by her insatiable curiosity to always discover what was over the next hill. Annie’s ground speed was impressive and she ran with that easy gait that tricks the eye as to just how fast she was covering ground. Her intelligence got her in trouble sometimes but her ease and comfort with any situation, new or old, made her a joy to be around.

With three Hall of Famers as sire and great grandparents, Annie was destined for greatness and Chad Holman guided her to her full potential. Her drive, intelligence and personality gave rise to many memorable moments in the field.

Annie’s career included 59 field placements with 21 firsts. She had 15 all age hour placements with 6 firsts: twice winner of the International Championship, twice winner and once runner-up of the Mid-South Championship, winner of the ABC Quail Championship with 58 starters and placed 2nd or 3rd in 9 other hour stakes. She was 4th in lifetime Purina Award points for females (3606 points) and ranked in the top 14 dogs from 2000 to 2005.

A time consuming field trial schedule coupled with Annie usually coming in season only once a year meant she had just two litters of puppies. She was an impatient mother but passed on what they would need to succeed in the field in later years.

Annie has to be considered one of the all-time great female producers. She is the breed’s second place producing dam of Field Champions, having produced 12 in just 2 litters. She is also the leading dam of Amateur Field Champions with 9. While Annie was a winner of the ABC Quail Classic, her offspring have won or placed in all four of the ABC All Age game bird classics (Chukar, Pheasant, Prairie Chicken and Quail).

Annie has produced:
